Thin section coronal GRE images demonstrate partial tear of the scapholunate ligament.
Scapholunate ligament consists of three components:
- Dorsal: strongest
Dorsal intercalated segmental instability (DISI) – dorsal tilt of the lunate on the lateral view indicates presence of scapholunate ligament insufficiency.
Scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC) – capitate migrates proximal between scaphoid and lunate.
